Opis |
The municipality of črenšovci consists of the villages of črenšovci, Dolnja, Srednja and Gornja Bistrica, Žižki and Trnje, with a total population of 4,442 inhabitants. The village of črenšovci is situated at 171 metres above sea level, and has developed at Central Dolinsko, by the main Lendava - Murska Sobota road. The school, with its nicely arranged sports park and surroundings, plays an important part in the promotion of the municipality and the village. Watermills, which first appeared in the 16th century, were an important medieval craft. They were built on the River Mura and on the črnec stream. Tourism is making progress thanks to the natural beauty of the place, the River Mura, its dead-end river branches, the flora and fauna, Bobri – a former holiday resort, the farms and the way of life on them. Hikers will enjoy walking along the marked forest nature trails along the Mura. It is not only interesting to go bird watching and relax while listening to the birds singing, but also discovering, with an expert guide, particular species of trees. The visitors who like cycling and getting to know the natural and cultural sights at the same time, are advised to ride along one of the seven international cycle paths. Numerous cultural, tourist, sports, fire fighters´, pensioners´, beekeepers´ and other clubs organize various performances, events, festivals, activities, cycle-rides, competitions, all year round. Special emphasis is placed on the preservation of the customs: in Gornja Bistrica visitors can see how pumpkin oil is produced, and by the bridge over the Mura, how a floating mill is being built. The Millers´ Days, organized by the Bistrica Tourist Information Office, are the most interesting traditional events in the region. |
